The Jubilee Conference entitled The latest achievements in biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology – 50 years of history of the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology will be held in Kraków from September 23-24, 2021.

The meeting will take place on the 3rd JU Campus (Campus of the 600th Anniversary of the Jagiellonian University Revival), in the main building of the FBBB at Gronostajowa 7. The first day of the conference, September 23, will be set aside for ceremonial Jubilee events. The program will include session devoted to looking back at the creation of the Institute of Molecular Biology and of the Faculty of Biochemistry, Biophysics and Biotechnology and to examining the history of development in the research conducted in both units. The keynote lecture will be given by Professor Virginijus Šikšnys. 

On the second day of the conference scientific sessions on the latest achievements in the fields of biochemistry, biophysics and biotechnology are scheduled to be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Speakers will be scientists, who originate from the IMB/FBBB and scientist from abroad collaborating with the Faculty.
